I wrote a piece the other day for HUSTLER Magazine in which I argue about Caitlyn Jenner being politically problematic for her Republican-minded stances on the upcoming presidential election, even in spite of her now transition to becoming a transgender/LGBT role model.
That’s not to say she can’t vote Republican; she can vote for whomever she wants, and if she takes on a GOP candidate this year, hey, that’s her thing. But considering her recent transition and ascension as a public figure within the LGBT community, people are absolutely going to continue to shit all over her for that.
It’s a little short-sighted for her to continue to voting Republican, if only for the party’s awful (and recent! Like, extremely recent!) track record against LGBT people and the transgender community at large. Especially considering how her “authentic” self (her term!) is within the LGBT community.
Eh, I don’t know, I’m just sayin’, Cait. Something smells fishy here. Your money (and retaining it through lower taxes with a presumptive GOP nominee) is more important than your transition? Because that’s kind of what you’re saying when you vote Republican; low taxes are more important than equal treatment for LGBT people.
Then again, Caitlyn Jenner is not a role model in the LGBT community or anything like that. She’s kind of… as they say… problematic. Read about it over at HUSTLER Magazine.
